My Story:
How I Grew My Own Business with Reddit Using ThreadSnipeI grew my solo business from $0 to $11k/mo using organic Reddit marketing. 64% of my traffic comes from Reddit. The rest is mainly from SEO (which grew mainly because of Reddit). $0 ad spend.
Discovering Reddit's Potential
I started looking into Reddit because I knew my target customers hung out there. So I monitored Reddit for opportunities to leave helpful comments with a link to my site.
I was shocked how well it worked. Not only did those comments immediately drive traffic to my site, some of the threads I commented on made it to Google's top results, which also led to them appearing on AI chatbots like ChatGPT. One year on, those comments are still driving traffic.
The Challenge: Turning the Strategy into a Sustainable Pipeline
While the strategy worked well, it was time consuming and tedious which made it difficult to stay consistent.
I tried a bunch of Reddit monitoring tools. But their filtering (keyword or AI based) was often too blunt.
Also, their AI replies were so hollow of insights they were sure to be flagged (Redditors can smell bots pretty well. Its not just about fixing tone and style).
Since I couldn't find anything good enough for me, I decided to build my own tool - ThreadSnipe.
The Result
With ThreadSnipe, I was able to knock out ~10 comments in less than an hour.
Most of them did not get taken down. Some of them even got upvoted to the top. Many Redditors have also thanked me for the help.
By removing the grunt work of helping people on Reddit, it became much easier to stay consistent and let the compounding work.
Today, these comments drive hundreds of visitors daily.
